Helpful instructions if an accident should occur.
1. Check everyone involved for injuries. Call for help if necessary.
2. Secure the scene. If the vehicles are not obstructing traffic, don not move them until an accident report is filled out.
3. Fill out an accident report.
4. If there are witnesses to the incident, gather information. Ask for names, addresses and telephone numbers of the witnesses.
5. Exchange information with the other party(s) involved.
6. Make NO statement of fault to anyone.
7. Report the incident to the State Police or other appropriate authorities.
